Lavender toss or favors are a wonderful way to remember a special day. Whenever you smell it, you will think of that beautiful day and the pouring of love from everyone around you. EQUIVALENTS: 1 lb of dried lavender equals approximately 15 cups (full 1 gallon bag) and equals to 25-30 hands full or 30-32 3" x 4" sachets; 1/4 lb of lavender equals about 4 cups of the fragrant buds and will fill twelve or more 3" x 4" sachets. Our 2007 harvest was the best yet. We have dried the lavender bundles, stripped the buds and then sifted the lavender buds by hand through a series of screens to clean it for crafting. For our crafting lavender we chose a premium blend of Lavandula x intermedia 'Grosso' and 'Provence', 100% naturally grown without chemicals on our farm on the Prairie. IDEAS: You can mix lavender buds with rice to throw on the couple, or to fill small fragrant pillows for heating up in the microwave. Lavender can fill pretty sachets or be tied into handkerchiefs and placed in drawers or closets to repel insects. It can be steeped like tea in boiling water which can be added to your bath to create a soothing, calming experience. It can be added to your pets' pillows to repel fleas. Our products are handcrafted on our farm from the finest natural ingredients and contain no chemicals or preservatives, just the natural goodness.
